How to enable Exchange Users to retrieve from Outlook Express (POP3)?

I basically am not Exchanged-trained but have been put in charge of the
company's Exchange server. My boss has asked me to configure Exchange in
such a way that our company staff are able to retrieve their mail from a
POP3 server using Outlook Express or Eudora (something like
pop.mail.yahoo.com). I think the previous guy before me already did this by
setting up the POP3 configuration (that's what you need, right?). But when I
set up my account in Outlook Express, must the server name start with
pop.mail.mycompany.com? or can it be anything I want (say abc.mycompany.com)

Anyways, I tried connecting to pop.myorigin.mycompany.com and it didn't
connect, tried myorigin.mycompany.com and it did connect, but it asked me
for a Username/Password/Domain. So I'm guessing that this probably would be
the NT Auth process, considering that the Exchange accounts over here are
linked to individual accounts. I tried typing in mine, but got rejected,
thought that was funny. tried a few other Usernames/Passwords as well but
didn't work. When I tried logging in as 'Administrator' and with its
password, it let me through and downloaded the mails for the Administrator
account! What in the world is going on here? Do I have to configure
something so as to allow someone to retrieve POP mail?

Can someone kindly please explain to me what's going on and what I shold do.
I would also really appreciate it if someone point me to a link where I can
read up on how to configure the whole thing so that everyone will be able to
download mails from their account when they have access to the Internet.

Many Many Thanks in Advance!
