How to eliminate hang up and dead air calls on VM

I don't have this issue with PRI voice mail because it drops the call instantly. With Embedded and VMP using analog lines the voice mailbox is recording hang up the mailbox is calls and dead air calls and the MB is full of these and they user gets upset. . Is there a minimum record length setting?

I would be checking for clear disconnect. A lot of the new SIP to analog converters don't have it turned on by default and you have to get the carrier to fix it.
