How to Drop a User from the master db

have a problem adding a new user to an sql database; enterprise manager says the user already exists, although i cannot see the user in any area unless i go to properties....

i understand this is a known issue with sql7, where the master db gets out of sync; can anyone tell me what the stored procedure is that needs using to drop this user?

Do you really want to add new user or login ?
If user try to list all users for specific database by sp_helpuser ... and if some needed user exists try to remove it by sp_dropuser.
