How to draw HARD lines with basic photoshop brushes?

HI using windows 7. cs4.

Question: I am looking to draw hard clean edges using basic photoshop brushes. I see that the hardness is 100% but still get little pixelation around edges as I free hand draw (i'm usin waccom tablet).

so how to get hard edges is my question. Thanks.

Maybe the simple "stroke" function will help?

This tutorial uses the basic pen and reminds you to choose the "path" setting before you draw your line of at least 2+ pixels width

thank you for you answer. I am still looking to see if this can be done with a brush. (no pen tool). Thank you. (it did lead me to some interesting new stuff on photoshop) Nikky

Pump the Resolution of the page you are working on way up and the lines will look much cleaner.

Of course the file size will go up as well.
But at 1200 PPI the lines look pretty clean.

If you are working in black and white the file size won't be too bad.
