How to Draw Circles along with the Path???

Hi...

I'd like to create a series of circles along with the path, but I don't know how...
Say that I have a path which looks like a half circle, and I have 10 circles and its size starts 0.3 X 0.3 inch to 0.03 X 0.03 inch.(First one biggest, last one smallest one... it is reducing the size...)
I want to put the first circle at the beginning of the path and the second one ... and the last one at the end of the path... It's similar to the typing in the path with different size... How do I do this??? Do I have to do it manually??? Oh... I have Illustrator 8...

use the blend tool on the two shapes. Then use the add points tool on the blend path to bend it into shape. Double click on the blend tool with the blended shapes selected to change the amount and angle of the blend. BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!
