It's incredible, been using PS for yrs. and stuck on a seemingly "newbie" problem.

I have a document, and to want to draw a border inside it to set up "margins"...of a predetermined size....want to key in width and height...

thought Marquee tool would do it, but width, height grayed out, drop down to style with fixed size doesn't do the job either...

seems simple enough to do.

I know I'll be screaming with the simplicity of answer once I get it.

Thanks.

Nikky.

Just select the Marquee tool, then on the top menu bar STYLE box select fixed size and then type in whatever size you need. If the box displays units in pixels you can just type in "in" for inches or whatever unit you like.
