how to download

hello
i have a html file in my hard disk, it contains to a link to a movie file. what i want is If i click the link it should download the movie instead of playing it. what should i do in the href link.
Both the htnl amd the movie file are in the same directory of the hard drive.
I am using Macintosh.

You should ask your host for an FTP directory. Your link would then be < a href = &quot; ftp://yourdomain/yourfolder/file.txt &quot; > DeZiner

Two things,

1. Put the movie file in zip format, it should automatically download.
2. Show the following message beside the link:
Netscape users hold shift and left-click on link to save. Internet Explorer users right-click and save target as. (Spyderix).
3.you could try just changing http:// to ftp:// it may work.
