how to download

hello
I know a http URL address of a image file in some server say(http:\\

http://www.cnn.com\anim.gif).

What i want to do know is add a link to that image file so that if u click the link it should download the image file instead of displaying in the browser.
I know this questionis very simple but i dont know how to do it.

Hi,

Have you tried changing the http:// to ftp://
or write a small message "Right click and save as"

Btw its http:// not http:\

Hi,

If you write messages under the link then write the following message:

"Netscape users press shift and click on the link to download, Internet Explorer users right-click and save target as"

Also you could put the file into a .zip file so that users don't have to do anything special except click on the link and it reduces file size and download time.
