How to download software in text mode?

If a server is always running in text mode, how do you access a website and download software? Do you have to bring the server to level 5? Thanks for any reply.

When I set up a server I intend to run at runlevel 3, I make sure to install a text-based web browser. Some distributions come with "lynx", some with "links".

Some come with w3m, too.

If you know the URL of the file you want to download, you can just use wget.

If you're on a command line, then you should use "wget"
