Is there a way to download all the Windows Vista's drivers and updates? I have a couple of computers that are not connected to the network and I want to update their drivers and latest updates. Help is appreciated.

Do you have an Internet Connection, are the machines running Vista or XP?

There is a BETA Windows Catalog for Vista Updates where you can choose updates to download, there is also the Microsoft Download Center to try. Drivers are best downloaded from the actual manufacturer.

It is easier all round if you install Vista, have an Internet connection and use the inbuilt Windows Updates.

The Microsoft Update Catalog is now available!

You'll have to jump through hoops installing ActiveX etc., once you get to the actual site just type Vista in the Search Box to locate updates.

If they're never going to be connected to any network you probably won't need most of the updates anyway, as they're generally fixes for security holes which your isolated PCs won't be exposed to.

Drivers are best downloaded from the device manufacturers' web sites, so they're easy to stick on a disc or a USB drive.

Many thanks for your responses. At the moment there is no plan on connecting all the computers to the network; however, I like to ocnnect the manager workstation to the network via a wireless adapter. I tried the manufacture site and they don't have it but Microsoft does support that device. So perhaps I can download the driver from Microsoft's site.

Windows or any other driver searching software would need to be able to scan the machine in the first place via an Internet connection.

If you know the name of the hardware requiring a Vista driver you can search the Internet yourself and if there is one you can manually install it.

What driver are you looking for (exact hardware name and model)?
