I am interested in reproducing the effect on the intro page on the above website. I have no problems recreating the effect by placing each white box on a seperate layer and adding the required alpha and scaling effects to it.

2 questions

1 is there an easier way of doing this using 'code' I am a complete rookie with flash so it seems to me that there must be but I am not sure how(it seems labour intensive to create a seperate symbol for each white box that make up the effect)

2 when I create the white boxs that sit on top of the picture they appear to have a grey border to them why is this??

there are loads of effects you can get with actionscript.

2. dunno. are the boxes the same size as the stage?
