I need to verify a file has been uploaded (ftp) to a server.
I am using expect to automate the the upload procedure. So far logging on and uploading the file is fine but I'm trying to put some error checking.
I want to log in and do a listing of the files on the remote server and dump the list to a file on the local machine. From there I can extract the file names and compare with the local list to see if the file/files did in fact make it to the remote server.
Can anyone help with this? I guess what I'm really asking is how do I get a listing of files off an ftp server to a file on my local machine by using expect.
