How to do pageframes

As a total newbe to .NET, can someone tell me what is the traditional method of creating a pageframe or page tabs on an aspx webpage? What I mean is the type of tabs that appear in an Excel workbook to tab between spreadsheet pages. I have been doing this with buttons to navigate to a new file but I was wondering if there is something new in .NET to make this easier and better.

MS Ajax Control Toolkit has an ajax tabbing control this might be what your looking for.
there is also the Wizard and MultiView control if you don't want the ajax.
