I need the total number of patients who received 2 or more GLYCO-POC test 91 days apart within the last year. My tables are: Lab_Result (holds the value), D_lAB_RECVD(holds the date received).

I will also need the average of these lab results.

Is there a simple way to find the average of a field that have numerical value. For instance if I have 600 patients that have a lab result values range from 3.1 to 15.7. How do you get the average test result.

Crystal has a lot of built-in totalling functions, including several types of averaging. The basics are explained at FAQ767-6524.

It's best to try a few things and see what you get, rather than hoping to work it all out in advance.

What I think you'd need to do is group records by patients for this 'GLYCO-POC' test. For the group, you can compare minimum and maximum date, 91 days apart or not.
