I need help on doing an extension swap. I never change/swap extensions using SPM. I alway just do it physically.
Here are the steps i'm doing:
-system renumber
-single
-extension
enter old ext. 11
enter new ext. 12

and for some reason it will not swap I need 11 to be 12 and 12 to be 11. What am I doing wrong?

The extension number can't exist in 2 places at the same time. Renumber Ext. 11 to "something else", then 12 to 11, then the "something else" to 12.

If your extensions are 2 digit, try 767 for the "something else"

Renumber
Single
Extension
11
Enter
767
Enter

Extension
12
Enter
11
Enter

Extension
767
Enter
12
Enter

Thanks that work great!!! I new The extension number can't exist in 2 places at the same time. I just didn't know what extension to use in its place. I tried all extensions, but not 767. 767 was the magic number.

Thanks,

Steve
