I've never done a back up on the Norstar, can anyone give me a low-down on how this is done? I actually gave someone information on how to, but now I can't find it. Thanks.

Correction, Ijust realized where the back up toold was. But when I start the process it's file allocation is c:\wnors3\ - and then I guess the phone number in which it ends the file in a .10(the last two digits of the main number. Can I change the path to my desk top and rename ther file? Does it need some special kind of extension i.e. .10? Please advise.

Sounds like you are doing the Norstar Manager backup.
The system automatically builds a DIRECTORY for each each system that you define. The directory name is the same as the number that you specify for the SYSTEM ID. In each directory is a file called KSU.db. That is the reason for the different directory names. If you change the location, the utility will not be able to find the file on its own if you need to do a restore, unless you tweek that too.

Under EDIT, then CHANGE CUSTOMER PATH will allow you to specify where the files are located.
Notice that Norstar Manager is using the old 8 character file name structure.
