Hi all

I am helping out a non-profit group that has ONE license for CRv8. What would be the best (cheap and easy) way for the users to view previously created reports? The reports will be run on demand, not scheduled.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

There are many approaches, including compiling and distributing (free):

This is a nice inexpensive means:

You can also write code (such as VB), use the WEB, etc., the above are probably the least expensive means, and the former dependent upon what version of CR 8.

They own ver 8 standard. so no compiling or web server. They are now looking into pricing for a new version, 8.5 or 9.0??
They like the web idea, as long as the reports can be interactive, and programming is kept to near zero.

thanks :)

I use Crystal 8.5 and find that Excel and PDF/Acrobat are the most useful. Acrobat software for viewing reports can be downloaded free, and Crystal generates neat copies that the users can read but not change. Excel is better when they need to do something extra with the data.

Export as Word or Rich Text is possible but most people find trouble with the way Word interprets Crystal data Madawc Williams
