Hi all..

I'm designing a report by mean of the report designer in Developer/2000. All works when records are correcly retrieved from the DB, but what about the display of a message when no records are retrieved?

I have a repeating frame that isn't shown when no records are found. How can I display a message in the report when that situation occures?

Thanks a lot in advance
Jaime

Hi,
Create an summary column for count of any of column
which you are going to display at report level

1. create an static text object in layout
("No records found") and write format trigger on this object for if value of that summary column is zero then
then display static text else d'not display static text.

Hope this helps...

Hi

I have the same problem with web-layout reports....

I need to know how to add/display a meaningful message when my web report returns no records. I know you can achieve this with paper-layout reports but the same method does not seem to work for web-layout reports.

I am using Report Builder 9.0.4.0.33.

Your help will be much appreciated.

Regards,
Stewart Hewitson
