How to disconnect the phone but leave VM and Extension working

Person left the office. I need to use her phone and jack for different user. However, I still need to kepp her extension and voice mail operating. She will pick her voice mails remotely. As soon as I disconnect the phone, extension goes busy.

Unfortunately, our telephony IT person left as well while the compnay who sold us norstar went out of business. I am now responsible for it. Any help will be appreciated.

You can delete her current box, then recreate it as a guest mailbox. You will create a new mailbox number, when it asks you for an extension, press # and it will go past it.

When she calls in for her messages, if she calls and gets a live person. They will do a Feature 986, dial the mailbox number and hang up. She will hear her own personal greeting, she then presses * * and enters her mailbox # and password.

If when she calls she gets the Auto Attendant, she will simply dial * * when she hears the greeting, then enter her mailbox number and password to get her messages.
