Having trouble with VM PRO version 2.1.(10). Problem stared since 2.1.(5) and 403 2.1.15. Caller calls in hears Thank you for calling........ for Sales press 1, Support press 2..etc.... This is all created as a (VM)Shortcode startpoint then has a goto which points to a module. Reaching this point is never a problem. The issue is when the caller selects 1 for Sales (This is in a menu Form). What happens is the call is connected to another Menu [in the same Module(have tried creating a goto for a different module same trouble)]. What happens is that the caller has another set of selections to choose from press 1 for Audio sales, press 2 for Video sales, press 3 for Power Solution sales and so on, then it timeouts to reception. Problem is that when the recording gets to ,"press 2 for Video" you here silence and then it seems like the timeout kicks in and you get transfered to reception (Hunt Group). This is not consistant, if I have two or three callers calling in at the same time one of them gets the shaft, where as the others go right through and can listen to their options in the second menu. We have an 8 port VM.

Any ideas welcome?????, and does anyone know how to test VM Ports or disable them. That's my only idea for now.

Dont think you can disable the ports, I would imagine the software accesses the ports 1 after the other, like a hunt group so if you monitor the number of calls in the vm you may be able to seee if it is a specfic port, would seem unlikely though. Also see another post in here somewhere regarding dtmf in vm messages, or rather the system thinking it is hearing a dtmf tone which is actaully part of the recording, in short try rerecording the message and the prob may stop.

Place 4 calls into a VM Pro menu action with no options and then park the call off on the handset, do this 4 times and you have used 4 ports.

Hope this helps

Double check that your timeout in your menu tokens is not set to 0 seconds. This always used to be no prob but I discovered in my trials and tribulations with 2.1 that you MUST set it to at least 1 second or you will have all kinds of problems.

And upgrade to 2.1.10 with 2.1.24 firmware now that it is out :)
