how to disable the sendmail

Can someone show me how to disable the sendmail on the solaris 8 workstation.

Try this as a super user.

#/etc/rc2.d/S88sendmail stop

And make sure you rename /etc/rc2.d/S88sendmail to something like _S88sendmail so it won't get restarted automatically at bootup.
