I sent out a link for the users to open via email. When they click on the link, there’ll be a pop up dialog box asking if they want to Open or Save It to Disk, I don’t want users to save it to their disks. I just want them to open when they click on the link. How can I disable the pop up msg box. (the link is used to open up Access database which locates on the server)

Thanks!

Unsure if this will help, bu tput this into your form_load procedure

DoCmd.SetWarnings False

I think this is from your email client, not the database?

It's not working.
It looks like this is not an Access problem. It's related to Windows API calls... I am not sure.

Thanks anyway.

You're right, lespaul! Thanks!

I don't have control of users' settings.

But is there a way trying to avoid pops up....????

Your Email is sent as HTML. Links from HTML file will be prompted Save dialog (except few file types)
Only way I can see is to create a shortcut of the file and send as attachement.Users can save it on their pc and open the file.
I believe the file is located in your network server.
Outlook may block *.ink(shortcut files)you need to send as zip.
