I have few Tektronix 860N printers on which I could not find how to change SNMP read/write passwords/community strings. I also checked for disabling SNMP on these printers, but nochance. I know that public and private SNMP communities are a security risk and desperately need a way of changing or diabling them.
I have checked with a local Xerox engineer, and he says there is no way to do it, but I dont want to believe him.
I dont want to switch to use HP Jetdirect cards when I have network card on the printer, but for now this seems the only option.
