how to disable the browser's refresh button or ctrl+r using javascript..first of all is that possible??

You cannot. They could always press 'F5' as well, in IE. jared@eae.net -

thatz okay boss...but can the buton alone be disabled preventing the users from accessing it??

You can't "disable" the button, but you could open the page/site in a new window with no buttons at all.
