Does anyone know how to disable the flash hook functionality on IP Office R6? We have a vexing problem with the analog phones in our manufacturing plant. A guy calls someone and gets their voicemail. He doesn't want to leave a message, so he hangs up, immediately picks up and pages the person. The result is they inadvertently transfer a call up to the paging system.
I've changed the Flash Hook Pulse Width to the shortest, narrowest range that the system will accept, but the problem still happens occasionally. I want to completely disable flash hook functionality. I don't want our analog phones to be able to do a transfer at all.
Thanks in advance for your help!

You cannot program against stupidity.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

But you can't cure stupidity either, so the only hope is to program around it! And since flash hook is a relatively modern option, one might think you could turn it off and go back to the good old days when the phone was just a phone.

You can change the flash hook timers for each individual phone.
set the minimum flash time to 50 and the maximum flash time to 51.
Wise guy who can still flash with the hookswitch within these parameters, he can be added to the Guiness Book of records then.

If it ain't dutch it ain't much

Thank you, intrigrant! I entered 50 as the minimum Flash Hook Pulse Width and 51 as the maximum. It "corrected" the maximum to 50. I think that's the best workaround possible. Thank you again!
