Every time I do a "save as" and change the format I am saving from .psd to something like .jpg, the file dafaults in along with the word copy after it (i.e. "picture copy.jpg"). Is there any way to keep that from happening. It's a little bit of a pain to keep removing it before I clikc the save button.

Thanks

Hi,

The short answer is NO you can't change that, unless you know how to hack into the program files and do some reverse engineering to stop it from doing that.

Hope this helps!

When you save as a .jpg (or anything else for that matter), there is a small check box on the dialog box that says "save as copy"; unfortunately, it is checked by default. You can, however, uncheck it.

Don't feel bad... it bugs the heck out of me also!
