Is there a way for MS Project to calculate the actual completion rate (percent) of task with target/suspense dates prior to the end of the time frame for the project?

In other words what percent of task have I completed that were due (as an examplet) by Nov 5, 2008.

Thanks

I don't know the answer to your question mainly because I've never seen anyone try to do that.

You kind of assume the task is linear so where the today line is against the task bar represents the proportion of the task that should have been done. What you then do is tell Project what the reported % complete is and Project displays this in a different colour on the bar. If the colour is behind today, you are late. If it's ahead, you're ahead.
