We have DB2 on an AS400. I have know idea which version it is. I've asked are AS400 administrator, but she doesn't know either. A vendor had installed it. Can anyone tell me how I can determine which version of DB2 it is? I'm guessing it is pretty old because it lacks many of the scalar functions present in DB2 8.2.

ddiamond,

On the iSeries (AS400) the database (DB2) is part of the operating system. AFAIK, the version is the same as the OS version. For example, our system is on V5R2 so I'd say our DB2 version is the same. That is if you are running OS/400. If your running AIX or something, I don't know...

Thanks MdnghtPgmr. I assume we are running OS/400. I'll look into the version.
