Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me how to determine the serial number on a Cisco 7206 router? I have used show version, show tech-support, and show c7200 with no luck. I need the serial number to get a Cisco service contract.

Thanks in advance.
Ray

If you have physical access to the box there should be a sticker on the back of it with the chassis serial number on it.

You can probably do a sh ver and it should come up as chassis serial number (or something like that).

It is what it is!!

Try the following command :
1) sho inv => chassis serial number
2) sho diag => module serail number

good luck
