Hello,

We just acquired an older hp5000 with HPUX 11. I'm trying to put Apache on it, and need gcc.

but...I'm only finding gcc/hpux downloads for different "hppa" versions, e.g. hppa 1.x, or hppa64 2.x, etc.

So, how do I determine if my box is an hppa box, and what version it is?

My login prompt shows this:
HP-UX belle B.11.00 A 9000/785 (tb)

Many thanks for any assistance you can provide.

I think your looking for the PARISC version. One way is to use SAM.
Once in SAM goto Performance Monitors
next goto System Properties.
This will tell you everything about the system.
