how to determine good lcd monitor?....

I just wanted to know how can you determine a lcd monitor is clear? ex.

15.4" TFT/LCD ROOF MOUNT MONITOR SCREEN SIZE: 15.4 inch
Display resolution (dot): 1280 x 800
Brightness: 250 cd/m2
LCD panel type: True TFT
Contrast ration: 350:1
Response Time: Rising: 9ms, Falling :16ms

VS.

Type 18" color TFT active matrix SuperClearMVA SXGA
Display Area 14.1" (horizontal) X 11.3" (vertical); 18.0” diagonal
True Resolution 1280x1024
Brightness 250 cd/m² (typ)

Read reviews

Check the prices

Listen and take advice from people who have a similar TFT to the one you are interested in (recommendation)

And of course! go and see for yourself! many big PC vendors have TFT's on display, take you application or game down to load and check.

There are lots of considerations like:
Screen Size
Dot pitch
maximum resolution
Response time
Viewable angle
Contrast ratio
Build quality
Warranty
Look/appearance
Physical Size
Anologue and or digital DVI
etc etc
AND....... PRICE
