Hi,

I want my Flash movie (a rather small but important element on the page) to be viewable by as many people as possible. The movie itself isn't too complicated, just some text moving around and fading in and out. My questions are these:

1) I'm using Flash MX. Under what version should I save it so it's most compatible with all versions of the Flash player?

2) How can I detect whether or not the user has Flash, and if not, put a gif instead of the movie using ColdFusion or JavaScript?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Misty

Macromedia statistics?

Sort of like asking Microsoft if I should use Netscape or not!
