How to delete records permanently from dbf file using vb6

I am using vb6+dbf. when i delete records it only mark as deleted. I want to delete them permanently. How can i do so.

Hi

Dbase, long time ago.

As I remember it in DBase/FoxPro/Clipper to permenantly delete records you needed to execute a PACK command, which reorganised the dbf, physically removing deleted records, rebuilt indices and released space from deleted records.
