how to delete icons out of the toolbar?

pls tell me how to delete the little icons of the toolbar when start up i know i have to go to start-run- i forgot what else?

Type "msconfig" in the run line without the quotes. You can also go to accesories, system information, tools, system configuration utility. (I think anyway, I don't use 98 anymore.)
