Hi Internet Explorer experts,

A friend is still using IE 4.....

He wants to delete all cookies.

His folder named Cookies is full of .txt files

I clicked Internet Options --> Delete temporary files but
that did not remove the .txt files

In IE 6, Tools --> Internet Options has a button to Delete Cookies.... how do you do it in IE 4?

thanks, John

Go to Windows Explorer, C:, Windows, Cookies, select all, delete. To "deep clean," try downloadable utilities like Purge IE (though I personally prefer 12Ghosts).

From Internet Explorer, you can:

1) Go to 'Tools -> Internet Options' and click the Settings button
2) In the next window, click "View Files" at the bottom
3) This will launch a 3rd window that displays what's left of temp files and cookies. I recommend deleting everything if you want to start fresh.
