Hi all,
I plan to run this command to rebuild the online indexes for the data which passed the browse and retention period.
The problem is I do not know what time format to use for the "browse time" option with nsrmm command.

nsrmm -Sssid -wbrowse_time

Please help. Thank you in advance.
Any better way to rebuild the online indexed would be greatly appreciated.

May i point you to another interesting document that i
found:

ftp://ftp.legato.com/pub/NetWorker/German/gener146e.pdf
ftp://ftp.legato.com/pub/NetWorker/German/gener248e.pdf

Both describe on 4 pages the most important NW commands
for NW 6 and NW 7 repectively. And they are in english !

You will find the answer in here.

You have to use 2 commands:
One for the browse and retention time,
and one to make the saveset not recyclable:
nsrmm -S <ssid> -w mm/dd/yy -e mm/dd/yy
nsrmm -S <ssid> -onotrecyclable

You can find the description of "time" format in "nsr_getdate.pdf"

Guys,

reading the first mail again, i think i've made a mistake:

1. to rebuild the indexes, you need to run "scanner".
You cannot do it with nsrmm (or i still do not understand
the question ;-)

2. Once recovered, on NW 6, the infomation will follow
the browse and the retention policy for the client again.
This was different in NW 5. So you probably do not even
need to do the cleanup.

3. with respect to the time format, this can be tricky if
you are not using american/english settings. Let me
suggest that you
- run "mminfo -q ... -r "ssbrowse, ssretent" first
- then run nsrmm and use the same format as shown.
