Hello,

I'm trying to use MS Project for production planning. I know it is not the right tool to do it, but i still want to give it a try.
I have several machines (RT1: Resource type 1) and several structures (RT2: Resource type 2). The structures (RT1) are puted physically inside the machines (RT2). Not every RT1 can accept every RT2. Each task as a RT1 defined by me manually, but i wish RT2 would be defined automatically.

Example:
Structure 1 > Machine 1, 2, 3
Structure 2 > Machine 4, 5

How can i tell MS Project that some resources can´t be combined together?
Any possible way i can use automatically atribute one RT2 to each task, based on RT1<>RT2 combination restrictions?

(i´ve been searching for several ours, and i saw resource "group", but i tried and couldn´t see any difference)

Thank you in advance.

I will try to simplify my question:

Each Task must have two resources. One resource Type 1 and one resource Type 2. I enter resource type 1 manually, but i wish ms project would assign resource type 2 automatically.

Combination Constraints:
Resource Type 1 | Resource Type 2
R1 | E1, E2, E3
R2 | E1, E4
R3 | E5,E6, E7

Hope you can help me,
Thanks
