I am helping a friend who has a server set up in her small office. She has 2 printers, a Lexmark Optra R and an old dot matrix. Her goal is to be able to get rid of the dot matrix, and be able to print to the Lexmark, using the server. When she hooked up the Lexmark to the server, there were problems printing from Paradox. If her computer is computer1, both printers are connected to computer2. Therefore when computer1 prints, it sends the data to computer2 and computer2 does the printing. Computer2's printer settings show that there are 2 printers defined: the Lexmark and the "Paradox printer". So, she is able to print to the Lexmark (though not through the server), but the dot matrix has to be connected to the computer she is printing from. So... How do I change the printer settings in Paradox to print to the Lexmark and any idea why the dot matrix has to be hooked up even though it is not being printed to? Thanks!!
