How to define filter for character data within variable

Hello,

This is my first thread. I am using Business Objects version 6.5.1. One of my columns is labeled Notes. In this field, notes regarding various camps within my organization are written. I am trying to extract just the name of each camp from each row of data i.e. where camp name IN ""

Any suggestions?

In query definition uses the 'matches pattern' filter option.
Or:
In the report use a logical variable with the match function (boolean) and filter accordingly..
