first: sorry for bad english
I have to design a project in gas industry and i need to define some lines
exemple: predefined line GAS i need to define a line where word or char must have color red and line to be yellow and i need several similar lines to draw entire project.
i have AutoCad 2004 and i don't know AutoLisp

You could do it with lisp, but the line would have to be composed of line segments, and the the "GAS" symbol would be text or a block. This type of line would be difficult to edit. Or you could make a complex linetype which use an text style for the "GAS". In fact there is a GAS linetype in acad.lin. But the line could be only a single color. One way around this is to use 2 different linetype for the GAS line - one line composed of just "GAS" at intervals, and on top of that another line with gaps corresponding to the "GAS". These 2 lines could be on different layers, or one assigned a color.

Hi,

You could cheat a little bit and create a block or two using some middle-centre aligned Dtext in the colour you desire - just use snap-to-insertion on the insertion point of the text to use as the block's origin. Then use the divide or measure command, which allows you to select a block to insert at each interval..

Just draw or convert the existing lines into a polyline, then use the divide/measure command, choosing B for block and Y to align the block along the line. Then just trim the line around the text or if you've got Express Tools, use TextMask

This may be a bit clunky but it may work for you. Unfortunately, you'll have to do this for each line and drawing that you need but hey, it's quicker than some other options..

Anyway, I hope this helps..
