How to Customize a method in cmpsyitemfs?

I need to modify a validation routine which is in cmpsyitemfs.

I have successfully modified several screens with ACCPAC's Customization Manager, but it only subclasses the form and the FormSetManager. How do I "fix" something in cmpsyitemfs of syitem.vcx?
