how to create your own WEP keys for a Linksys wireless card 1

I have the wireless LinksyS AP and wireless router setup and they are communicating fine but now want to setup my laptops wireless nic with a 128 bit WEP key.. I remember someone creating one at one point.. where the key was a combination of six number 7's, then three number 3's then six number 7's then three number 3's and finally five number 7's to finish the key.. how the heck did this person come up with this encryption key?? not sure.. but it seemed to work when implemented on the linksys router and then applied to the wireless nic on the laptop.. Anyone have a clue?? please let me know of your ideas..

ASCII Passphrase Method:
128-bit WEP key (secret key) with 13 ASCII characters

Hexadecimal numeric Method:
128-bit WEP key (secret key) with 26 hexadecimal digits

Usually the second method using Hexadecimal is the overall easiest.

Hexadecimal number is 0,1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,,A,B,C,D,E and F

So just type any 26 Hexadecimal numbers you like.
BAD1BAD2BAD3BAD4BAD5BAD666, for example.
