I have a remote site in Dallas, Texas that registers to a central site in California. I am providing the users in Texas local Cali extensions. I do not want to pay long distance charges when they dial local Texas numbers. Do I need to create a new ARS analysis? If so, does that require to add all local Dallas numbers the users in Texas will be dialing out?

Well, you could just use the ARS all table if you wanted both sites to always dial the same - avoiding long distance when CA calls TX and TX calls CA.

When you do "change ars analysis 212", you're changing ARS analysis for the "ALL" table. If you have multi-location dial plan enabled in your CM, you can have "change ARS analysis location 1 212" or "location 2 212" and that way you can use different route patterns and different trunks for the same dialed number depending on what physical location you belong to. ARS all will still take over if it has a more exact match, however.

You assign cabinets, network regions and media gateways to physical locations to make that magic happen.
