I want to create a Quicken-like browsing form to browse records in an Access table. Although my data is not checkbook data, it is similar in nature.

Also, I need to restrict the records displayed to those that match a particular field.

When the user wants to edit an entry, I'll open up an editing form to let them make their entries, and then I will validate them before they update the database.

I've looked at the FlexGrid control, but it looks like a spreadsheet, and I don't see that it has much flexibility in formatting it to look more like a ledger, the way Quicken does.

I'm using VB 6, and I am still learning. Thanks for any and all suggestions, tips, and pointers. Tom
