I need help with creating a mailbox with out leaving a message. I have the mailbox created but I cant prevent message from being collected. There is no prompt when I edit the greetings. We are using voice mail pro.

Record a greeting and save with 4.

But please, read the manual.

Embedded VM?
Create a AA and only record the main message.
Then create a shortcode to the AA : SC = *98, TN = "AA:"<number of the AA created, action = AutoAttendant
Then forward the user on no answer to *98 and disable VM

why are you doing this??? trying to play a message when people call a user, but they can't leave a message?

if so, in VM pro:

1. create a module, named Message
2. start point tied to generic action, add prompt for message. Record prompt. If message is going be changed regularly, create a recording module with menu action tied to editplaylist action to permit easy re recording of prompt. Give Sc access to recording module to whomever is supposed to record it.
3. create a SC *60 (or whatever) / Voicemail Collect / "Message"
4. for user, forward unconditional all calls to *60. disable VM for the user.

in short, don't use a mailbox at all.

Oh, I missed word Pro...
Go in the VM Client software, go to Specific Startpoints > Users, select the user involved and create a "Leave" startpoint.
In the actions screen add a generic action with the desired messages as the prompt.
You can record the prompt using a phone or a multimedia PC with a microphone.
Do not add the message in the Start action itself, that may give strange results.
