I have a pdf document (65 pages). The boss wants bookmarks in the document that appear on the left side. You click on the words and it takes you to the correct spot in the document.
I can create the bookmarks and they link perfectly. Then I save it. I reopen it in Adobe Acrobat and the bookmarks are no longer listed on the left side of my document. I can show them again by clicking on the Show/Hide Navigation Pane button on the toolbar.

I need to save this document so, that when it is opened from the internet, the bookmarks show on the left and people can just click on a topic to get to the coorect section of the document. Am I doing this in totally the wrong way? Any help would sure be appreciated or point me towards some websites that would explain how to do this!
Thanks in advance....

first you may have goten a response sooner with a little better title to your post... like default bookmark view... just a thought...

so to solve the problem....

open the pdf in the writer/exchange... then select the bookmark view.... next go to file->document info -> open... in there you can tell it to open in page and bookmark view by default.... then save the doc... and bingo!

have fun!
