I'd like to learn to create Browser Helper Objects. I call myself a Web developer and I like to do my programming for a LAMP stack in a text editor rather than an IDE. I know C and Java and I understand OO concepts quite well.
I have downloaded the "Express" editions of the Visual Studio products and I'm working on getting the full version (At the student price, of course ). Do I have what I need, at least at a minimum, to create BHOs?
Assuming I have 12 hours per day to learn and superior focus and concentration, can I get there from here?
Can anyone suggest a good reference to use as a starting point? Some good online tutorials and references would be perfect, but book recommendations would be great, too.
I'm sure that there's a better way to perform almost any task than by using BHOs, but I haven't been given the freedom to choose the techniques or technologies for this project.
Thank you.
