The only way I know how to do this is:
1. Open first WordPerfect's document in directory
2. Copy all content to the clipboard
3. Open new Winword document
4. Paste data from clipboard
5. Save & close
6. Open next WP file in directory and back to 2.nd step

Is there any way to do this without Winword/WordPerfect visible? I do everything by sending appropriate keystrokes to WordPerfect/Winword (Ctrl+C, Ctrl+V...), hence the program must be visible, but I'd like to hide it.

I need to use clipboard - no export/import works well because of using Central European encoding :-((.

Need to convert thousands files, hence this problem :-(.

Any idea?

do the WP documents have Headers and Footers? if so, copying and pasting will usually copy the header and footer to each page as plain text(as opposed to either not copying them, or copying them into word as actual headers and footers).

Only way I can think of doing it is to use OLE Automation, but I'm not that experienced with OLE and Word Perfect - only done a little with Word too.

You can't save to RTF from WP? and then pick up with Word?

It doesn't matter if the real formating of headers and footers will be lost - there would be only page's numbers, nothing else.

Unfortunately export from WP to RTF doesn't work with some special czech characters (Central European encoding) - I get blank squares or wingdings chars instead of propper formated text. With english text there is no problem, but with czech I found that only clipboard works fine so I'm looking for some effective way how to copy WP document to clipboard and then paste & save it in Word. I'm new in Delphi - just started to play with it so my knowledge is zero at this point. I will try to play with OLE - should be much better then open Word/WP.

Many thanks...
