How to create a template with three prompts on it ?

I need to create a template with 3 prompts in it , which must act as a base to generate future reports.Do we need to code javascript for this or what is the method ??? I have to save this template for future use with prompts in it .

What version of Cognos are you using?

If Report Studio, take an existing report and from the file menu, Convert to Template.
