I have a bunch of reports/charts/graphs that i have designed in Ms Access. The next step is to give presentation to the management using powerpoint.

I searched the web, and in how to articles from Microsoft i could find a very lengthy code (almost two pages). Not sure that will help in making so many presentation specially I am not a programmer.

Can any one suggest is it possible to present them in powerpoint or any other presentable format on a projector?

This is a recurring process, hence want to automate as much as possible.

Thanks

Dwight

I found this chartconverter.mdb file on one of the Access websites out there. Unfortunately, I can't remember which site - it turns a chart into a Jpeg which can then be used in Powerpoint. It seems a bit buggy or maybe needs some sort of registering or proper conversion, but it seems usable.

If you like post your email and I will send you zip file it is contained in.

Position the chart on screen. Hold down Ctrl and hit the Print Screen key.

Paste into your favorite graphics product to crop and do a Save as a graphic format such as gif.

Knicks,

Can you please send it to luxmipari@yahoo.com?

Lilliabeth,

That is a good option.

I would have been so happy if we had any conversion/save as option to powerpoint from MS Access.

But that does not seem to be the case.

Thank you

Dwight

You can copy / export the data used to make the Ms. A. ChartA(s) into PowerPoint and have the charts dynamically generated in PowerPoint. I vaguely recall being able to link PowerPoint to Ms. A. recordsets as well, but this requires that Ms. A. be available during the presentation which can be an issue for some (many) users.

MichaelRed,

I tried my best and did web search to identify the possibility of linking powerpoint to MS.A recordsets but could not get any affirmative answer.

I would appreciate if you could lead me to the path.

The first option of exporting the data to powerpoint and then making a presentation is a viable way.

Thank you

Dwight
